libkate1 software package provides Kate is a codec for karaoke and text encapsulation, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libkate1
libkate1 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libkate1 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libkate1 *
You will get with libkate1 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
